Duke Realty to Build Southeastern Headquarters for Kuehne + Nagel Inc. at Camp Creek Business Center

Global logistics services provider signs build-to-suit lease for new building at Duke Realty development in East Point

(Atlanta, Ga. – May 24, 2012) Duke Realty Corporation’s (Duke Realty) Atlanta office announced today that it has executed a lease agreement with Kuehne + Nagel Inc., a unit of Swiss-based Kuehne + Nagel AG, one of the world’s leading logistics services providers.

Duke Realty will develop a 211,000-square foot, built-to-suit office and warehouse-distribution facility which will serve as Kuehne + Nagel Inc.’s southeastern headquarters. It will be located in Camp Creek Business Center, Duke Realty’s 400-acre, mixed-use business park, located at I-285 and Camp Creek Parkway, approximately three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Positioned at a major transportation hub, the Atlanta location serves as an integrated global logistics gateway for Kuehne + Nagel.

The company will more than double its square footage with the relocation in 2013. The new logistics center will feature bonded, class 3 warehousing space; consolidation and de-consolidation services; customs brokerage; and TSA security screening. It will also have a secure cage for high-value cargo; 1,000 square-foot temperature-controlled space to accommodate the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry; and special cargo equipment to handle oversized products, such as vehicles and engines.

To be located at 4100 North Commerce Dr., near the main entry to Camp Creek Business Center, the project will house approximately 300 employees, most of who will be relocating from a current Kuehne + Nagel Inc. location in Forest Park. The estimated completion date of the project is 2nd quarter 2013.
